Kingscourt made in through to the semi-finals of the championship with a tremdenous victory up in Gowna on Tuesday night. With the hosts having steam-rollered through Division Two and having beaten this Kingscourt side at U-14 level, everyoner knew the size of the task ahead.
However Kingscourt started strong and stood toe to toe with their opponents and gained an early lead with some great point scoring. However it was the goals that gave the breathing space and super efforts from Michael Gargan, Cian McArdle & Reece McIntyre gave the side some breathing space.
Next up is a home semi-final against the Gaels and we would encourage everyone to support the side in what will be another tough encounter over the side that defeated them in the league final.
