Kingscourt 2-9 Killygarry 2-8
The 14′s made it through to the championship final with a super comeback victory over Killygarry yesterday evening down the park.
The Crubany side had yet to taste defeat this year when they made their way to O’Raghallaigh Park and started strong and by halftime led 2-5 to 0-1. As the visitors are fresh from winning the Div 6 Feile All-Ireland they were playing with a confidence that comes with that success.
However, our lads never gave up and started the second half strong and slowly but surely got back into things. Point by point, goal by goal, they narrowed the gap and as we approached the finsal whistle they stuck their heads in front for the first time and stayed there.
This was a superb victory for players and management alike and proof of what can be achieved with a bit of hard work and “never say die” attitude. The early year struggles in Div 1 league are but a distant memory and an air of confidence now fills the camp ahead of their upcoming final against Drumlane
