This year sees the U-16’s operate in Division One of the League & Championship, and the league is scheduled to start on 9th April.
As part of their pre-season they competing on the new 3G pitch in Breffni in the Christy Shiels Memorial Cup. They were grouped with Templeport, Cuchullains & Bailieboro and won all three games on 6th February to qualify for the knockout stages.
These took place on Saturday 13th March 2010 and a late Cavan Gaels goal saw them narrowly fail to reach the semi-finals.
The league is now in action and training continues for the U-16s on Friday evenings at 8pm. Below is this year’s panel ahead of their recent match against St. Joseph’s along with John Carey and Ray Cunningham who are calling the shots this year….
