The 12′s finished their league campaign back in May and despite operating at the highest level with little reward they performed with credit and a noted improvement is evident through the campaign. There was no U-12 Championship.

Next up was the regional blitzes during the Summer. These were 10 a side matches where points only are counted with no goalkeepers and players were limited to one solo, one hop before releasing the ball.  It was a skills-based tournament with points allocated for kicking/catching as well as scoring.

Kingscourt submitted two teams to most  regional venues during July and August.  The 8th August blitz due to be held in Kingscourt was cancelled due to the tragic death of Simon Delaney of Killinkere during that week.

The final super blitz in Breffni on the 29th August was cancelled due to the weather and will now be played in November once the new articifal pitch is opened.  Well the weather can’t be any worse…..

That’s your lot for the 12′s for the year then really.  Again, if any player or manager wants to add a bit more substance to a review of the year, please give me a shout.
