Kingscourt 1-9 Castlerahan 1-7
The Minors got their first victory of the season with a 1-9 to 1-7 victory over Castlerahan down the park today. An. early Cian McArdle peno helped us to 1-2 to 0-0 lead after 10 minutes before Castlerahan dominated proceedings and scored six unanswered points before two Terry Reilly frees late on gave us a 1-4 to 0-6 halftime lead.
The lads carried on where they left and started the second half strong and a Jack Sheenan point and a super run & score from Kevin Rogers put us further ahead. The game then got quite heated and Aaron Brown got a straight red for an of the ball challenge and a goal from Castlerahan left just a point between them before a late Joe Dillon free in the last minute put us two ahead as the final whistle was blown just as Joe Dillon tried to lob the keeper from 40 yards.
