Kingscourt 2-19 Killygarry 0-8
The Seniors made it four out of four with another comprehensive victory at O’Raghallaigh Park on a beautiful Summer’s evening. A delicate flick of the nhand from Ryan McCormack saw us a goal up within a minute, and a minute later Colm Smith hit the post when clean through.
However the tone had been set and a great team move was easily finished to the net by Daryll Martin extended the lead before further points from Martin, Smith, Barry Reilly & Mark McGovern had the Stars 2-5 to 0-1 clear after the first quarter.
Another great team move saw Philly Smith rattle the crossbar as the Stars ran riot and Philly Tinnelly & Mark McGovern found the scoresheet and by halftime the score was 2-12 to 0-3.
The 2nd half not surprisingly lacked the same intensity as Kingscourt through on the subs and Killygarry showed some admirable spirit. At the end it was a comfortable two points as the Stars stretched their unbeaten league run to over 18 months.
