Kingscourt may have won all their games so far, and Ramor may have lost all theirs but you would not have realised this as both sides played out a pulsating match on a sun-drenched O’Raghallaigh Park on Saturday evening.

Right from the off it was tit for tat as both sides went out playing expansive football with attacking flair on offer all over the pitch.  Kingscourt lead 0-10 to 0-7 at halftime with top scores from Ryan McCormack and Philly Tinnelly being the highlight for the home side.

Kingscourt stretched their lead in the 2nd half to 0-14 to 0-8 and looked in control before a mini revival from the Virginia side bought the minimum between them with five mniutes remaining at 0-15 to 1-11.  However some calming scores from Mark McKeown and substitute Neil McCabe, sealed the deal for the home side and made it a magnificent seven for the Stars.

Next up for the Stars is Redhills on Friday night in our fifth home match in a row.  For Ramor, they continue to search for their first points of the season, however based in this performance, they shouldn’t be waiting too long…
