Cavan Gaels 0-7 Kingscourt 1-2
After a superb victory over St. Joseph’s in the semi-final by 2-9 to 1-10 the 16s faced Cavan Gaels in the final last Sunday evening. At halftime they trailed 0-5 to 0-2 and looked under pressure, however they raised their game in the second half, but just could not register on the scoreboard. At the final whistle they fell just short by 0-7 to 1-2.
A very disappointing defeat for all involved but a great achievement in getting their and hopefully they can go one better in the championship later in the Summer
