EAST  GALES HURLING CLUB NOTES

Under 12/14;

The lads were beaten by a very well organised and skillful Celtic team in Saturdays semi-final at Breffni 3G. In one of those games where everything went right for the opposition while we never really go motoring like last weeks excellent performance against Woodford. The lads were disappointed but have resolved to tackle the under 12 league with even more determination when it begins in March. It was a great achievement to reach a semi final in their first year at under 14 so all is not lost and valuable lessons have been learned along the way. Nearly every one of our players are under age for under 12 so will have at least two more cracks at the under 14 championship in the coming years with this group of players. Four of the five local GAA Clubs in  the area had representatives on the team on Saturday. New players are always welcome for this age group. Plenty of league games and blitzes over the summer as well as a possible trip to Ulster Féile in May. Training resumes on Sunday at 12 at The Vale.

Under 8/10;

Training as normal on Fridays. Under 8s from 6-7 and under 10s from 7-8 both at the Community School Sports Hall, Bailieborough, €2 each please. There should have a match for the under 10s this week and for the 8s next week. New players always welcome. Drop down any Friday to training.
