There was no winner of our €3,600 Jackpot, the numbers drawn were 06, 10, 12, 28 and bonus no 11. NFL Pools

This week’s 3rd Round of the National Football League 2014 Prediction Pools highest score was 23 points, the €100 prize money winner was shared between Caroline McCabe c/o Daryl Martin and Tom Tully. Next weekends Round 4 tickets are available from players and committee members.

A Chairde Réalta Dun na Rí
A Chairde Réalta Dun na Rí / Friends of Kingscourt Stars GAA Club was a new initiative introduced by the club last year to members and families to help the development of our club. It offer includes great value
for club membership/insurance, free entry to games and weekly lotto. There are 3 forms of membership: Single, Adult / Parental and Family. If you are interested in one of these please contact a committee

Senior Fixtures & Results
Round 2 – Cavan Gaels made the trip to a wet and windy O’Raghalligh Park on Friday last, With scores from Mossy Malone, Sean Og Gargan, Anthony Corcoran and Barry Reilly in the first half they lead 0-04 to 0-03 at the break. Two frees in quick succession from Seanie Johnston and a point from Sean Reilly put the visitors ahead by two 7 mins into the second half. Scoring was minimal after this with a point from Barry Reilly (13 mins), Seanie Johnston (21 mins) and Christy McGowan (28 mins). This left the Cavan Gales taking the 2 points on a score line of 0-07 to 0-06. Round 3 will take place on Saturday March 8th at 3.30pm away to Castlerahan. Please support.

O’Raghallaigh Gaels U-16’s
O’ Raghallaigh Gaels got their under 16s Division One campaign up and running last Saturday in a wet and heavy pitch in O’ Raghallaigh Park against Cavan Gaels. While they started well with points from Jack Kelly and two frees from Robert Brown, Cavan Gaels took control of the first half and we went into the break trailing with a score line of 1.09 to 0.03 points. The second half seen O’Raghallaigh Gaels come out with a spring in their step and were to control the second half but with too many scoring opportunities missed Cavan Gaels went on to win with a score line of 2.12 to 1.10. The next round takes place on Saturday March 8th at 2pm away to Crosserlough.

Juvenile, Underage
The under 6,7 and 8s training continues in the Community Centre on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8pm . U10 training will resume on Saturday March 15th. U12 & U14 will resume in the next fortnight.

Juvenile Registration
Juvenile Registration will take place in the Clubrooms on Saturday March 8th and Sunday March 9th from 11am to 1pm. This is for all young people born from 1997 to 2009 (inclusive) who are interested in playing Gaelic Football for our Club. We welcome all new and returning players.

Ladies Fixtures & Results
Ladies League – Killenkere v Kingscourt Stars at 12 noon on Sunday March 9th in Killenkere.
U-16s League – Our under 16’s had a two point win over Cuchulainns in Mullagh on Saturday last. Well done girls. Their next game is home to Arva at 12 noon on Saturday 8th March in O’Raghallaigh Park, Kingscourt.

The East Cavan Gaels U14s won the first round of the three county league on Sunday last v Carrickmacross. Kingscourt Stars Kevin Curtis and Michael Gargan were prominent in a good all round team display.

Kingscourt training continues every Tuesday in the Community Centre 5.30-7pm with another blitz in Carrick on Saturday next. €2 each and please bring water. Orders now being taken for helmets and hurleys. Contact Willie at training.
