Drung 1-9   Kingscourt 2-13

The Seniors secured a well-earned 2-14 to 1-9 victory away to Drung on Sunday to maintain their good start to the season. While the hosts were pointless going into the match the return of most of their county stars meant this would be a tough ask. However, Kingscourt started well and played some great stuff and a flicked goal from Mark McKeown helped them to a 1-7 to 0-4 halftime lead.

Drung came out strong in the second half and an early goal left just a score between them and while Kingscourt had the upperhand throughout the second half, injuries to a couple of key performer didn’t help in sealing the game. A late Barry Tully goal eventually killed of the home challenge and at the final whistle, the visitors were well worth their seven point victory.

Next up for Kingscourt is a local derby at home to Shercock at 4pm on Easter Saturday.
