The 16’s met Cavan Gaels in the League Final in Breffni last Friday night. However a poor opening saw the Stars trail by 0-7 to 0-1 at halftime. A superb start to the second half saw the gap narrowed to 0-9 to 0-7 but a Gaels goal knocked them back again. In the end they had too much to do, and were beaten 1-14 to 1-8.
Commiserations to all involved with the side as they had a terrific run in the league. Next up is the U-16 championship draw which is due to take place this week and kick off next week. Details of this will be announced when we have them.
